The Second Amendment in the Supreme Court

Dave Kopel is Research Director of the Independence Institute, a Golden, Colorado think tank. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Advanced Constitutional Law at Denver University, Sturm College of Law; an Associate Policy Analyst with the Cato Institute; and a blogger for The Volokh Conspiracy. He is a regular panelist on KBDI's Colorado Inside-Out (Denver channel 12, Fridays at 5 & 8 pm).

He received his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from University of Michigan, has served as Colorado Assistant Attorney General, and is an NRA-qualified Distinguished Expert and certified instructor in handguns.

Kopel is the author of ten books and dozens of academic journal articles on topics including the Second Amendment, antitrust, environmental law, computer law, civil liberties, criminal justice, terrorism, genocide, international affairs, religion, and history.
